Chapter 07: Callista/Majesta's Adventure

You'd think by now I'd have taken a break. I've just got done with five performances this week. And it's only Wednesday! But here I am, dancing once again, I was out by a creek near my place. It's beautiful there's a woods on the other side of the creek and wild flowers decorated the tall grass. Best place for dancing if you ask me. Everyone thinks I'm over doing it. Too bad Joslyn's in Scotland, I could really use her support. She would wind up with the worst possible day to move. I'll give her hell after the week. A smile crossed my lips. I will give her the biggest guilt trip ever! I will not let her live this down.
After some major stretches I turned on my CD player and started dancing. I was wearing my beautiful red velvet baby doll dress with yellow trim. It had an empress waist and a spaghetti top design. I had on my red high heels; I needed to practice in heels much to my displeasure.  I had on my jewelry; three rows of pearls with red enamel in the center necklace a matching bracelet on my left wrist, and a single pearl strand ankle bracelet. In my hair was my gold comb with red enamel. The entire outfit was a gift bought by my friends. Vashti was the one who made the dress. She's our group's top fashion designer and model.

Urgh! I need to concentrate! I had gotten distracted that I was missing beats.

I took five sat down on a nearby tree stump and drank some water. I started the song over again and danced all over. This time I let the music take over my mind and heart and let it flow throughout my body. I knew these moves so well that I closed my eyes for a little while when I opened them I started to see colorful little dots flying around me. At first I thought it was the sun. You know those annoying little floating lights you get from staring or looking at a light bulb or from being in the sun too long? But they were flying around me. Fireflies? But glowing in the daytime…?  Soon the little lights began to dance around me and I was starting to feel a little dizzy. Soon I was falling through a sky and then I dropped into water. I didn't know what happened in between then and my waking in a soft bed, but I was later informed.

(Daemon's rescue:)

I had just dropped off Joslyn near the Centaur village. She has been seeing the physician as of late. To my displeasure. I was on my way home when I saw something falling in the sky. I noticed it was a human in a dress. She looked like she came from Joslyn's world. She plummeted into the lake. Naturally I dove after her and rescued her from drowning.  Luckily she was just unconscious and nothing fatal. I carried her back to my place since I was too far from the village. Thoughts raced through my head of what Joslyn would say when she found out I saved someone.

[In Daemon's head]

Daemon: Joslyn, I saved this poor girl from drowning. I think she's from your world. I hope she's fine.

Joslyn: Oh you wonderful man you!

[Back to Dae]

Hee hee! Then she'll throw her arms around my neck and kiss me on the lips! I can just see it!

The closest place I could take her was to our hang out as Joslyn called it. I needed to get her to a warm bed before she got sick. I flew faster to the cave entrance. Once there I immediately took her to the bedroom and carefully put her down. I called out for Suko and quickly polymorphed into my humanoid form. I was getting dressed when Suko came in his dragon form.

"I need you to hurry back to the Centaur village and get Joslyn and the physician. This girl fell into Mermaid Lake and I think she's from Joslyn's world."

"She maybe from Joslyn's world, but that doesn't mean she knows her."

"No, but this girl may feel comfortable with someone from her own world. Now go!"

Suko did a slight bow and left. Once I was dressed I made the girl more comfortable. All the while I was thinking about how Joslyn would react. Oh, hell…I took a long look at the girl. This does not bode well. The girl was severely beautiful. She could match Joslyn or maybe out do her. I just hope Joslyn doesn't throw herself on me.

[Back to Calista]

I don't know how long I was unconscious, but when I awoke I found myself in a bed. I opened my blurry eyes and after sitting up and clearing them; I saw a gorgeous guy sitting in a chair next to me. I could hear my heart pounding in my chest and my face burned. I smiled shyly at him.

"H-H-Hi," I forced out.

"I'mana…I'mana….Namana. Neeyah….I'mana…" he stuttered. Just then someone came in.

"Dae, Suko told me…ACK! Darling!" It was Joslyn. She rushed over to me and we hugged.

"How'd you get here?" We both said.

"Well I fell through a fairy ring," Joslyn said.

"I wonder if it was fairies that sent me here. I was at the creek and then poof! I was falling and crashing into a lake."

"No surprise," spoke the really cute guy. "Fairies love dancing. And if you have a style that the fairies like or is similar to their dancing they tend to send you to this world."

"Oh yeah!" Joslyn said. "This is Daemon, he's letting me stay here until I can make up my mind if I'm staying or going home. And that super cute blonde centaur is Windchester aka Chet. He's a physician. And this girl is one of my dearest friends…"

"Majesta Silverly," I introduced myself.

"You know you can go by your real name," Joslyn whispered.

"I like a magical name for this world," I whispered back.

Joslyn rolled her eyes and laughed. Chet got closer and checked me over. I seemed fine. Just soaked and light headed, but other then that I was fine. Daemon briefed me on what happened during my fall and crash. Apparently the cutie saved me. Score! Joslyn escorted the centaur back to the cave entrance where apparently Daemon's younger brother Suko was waiting to take him back home. Joslyn decided to cut their date short so she can spend time with me. When she came back Daemon was flirting with me, but it was in a cute way cuz he would occasionally stutter.

"Uhhh…Dae…"

"Stop calling me Dae!" He spazed. I laughed and he blushed.

Joslyn yanked him by the arm, "Well be right back Luv. I wanna talk to Romeo here."

"Who's Rome-oh!" Dae started as she pulled him away.

[Joslyn and Daemon's conversation]

"You leave her alone," Joslyn said.

"But she cute! I bet she'd go out with me since you're interested in the centaur."

"She's my one of my closest friends. If you hurt her I'll rip off your balls and shove them down your throat!"

"I'll be good." Daemon squeaked.

Joslyn eyed him, but he had been behaving himself. Then they retuned to Majesta.

I don't know what they were talking about but Joslyn just smiled and the two took me to the palace, which were the living quarters made for humans and dragons. Joslyn and I talked about Daemon as he walked in front of us.

"He's really cute!" I said.

"Yeah, but he can be such a flirt."

" When he was flirting with me it was kinda cute."

"Huh. When he flirted with me I wanted to bust him."

"He seems real sweet."

"He's alright. I live with him so I know him better. You notice his hair is unkempt and uneven."

"That's what makes him cute."

"I think you took in too much water."

"And what's that suppose to mean?" I said in a really loud voice. We three stopped and Daemon turned to us. I waved my hands, "No worries."

Joslyn and I giggled as he turned around and continued forward. My room was between Joslyn's and Daemon's. Joslyn told me all of what happened to her. She's been living here in NeoGaea for about a week. I told her she was lucky and explained what I meant when she gave me a weird look.

"I mean you get to live in this cool ass world and with a real cutie," I said as I was undressing and hung my clothes over the fireplace. Daemon had some things to do. He called it his Kingly duties.

"Oh yeah. He's such a prince charming," Joslyn said sarcastically she was sitting cross-legged on my bed.

"I'm glad he's not a prince charming. I don't want that. Just a sweetheart."

"I'm feeling nauseas," Joslyn joked.

"Oh hush you."

Joslyn laughed. "Anyways I'm glad he's interested in you. Now I can work on getting a relationship with Chet."

"That centaur right?"

"Yep! He's soooo cute and sweet and dreamy."

"Now I'm feeling nauseas."

Joslyn stuck her tongue at me and we laughed. It wasn't long before my clothes were dry. My head began to pound and I asked Joslyn if she had an aspirin.

"Nope. No aspirins. My-hopefully-future-boyfriend, took them. Said they were a waste of swallowing energy and gave me some herbal medicine, they're stronger and they work faster."

"Could I get some?"

"Sure," with that she hopped off my bed and went through my bathroom door. We shared a bathroom. She came back and handed me a little glass bottle with a green liquid. "Do you want a tag saying 'Drink Me'?"

"Fu-nny," I replied. "Are you sure it's safe?"

"Ye-ah! I trust him!"

I smirked, "Maybe too much?"

She gave me the raspberry. "Please. He's a physician. Technically a doctor, because he took classes in our world."

"How does that work out?" I asked then took a sip of the liquid; it was nasty tasting.

"You don't need a lot of the liquid. And he can take the form of a human. A human, an icthyocentaur and a Pterocentaur and he's still working on a pyro version."

"I see you've been hanging on to every word of his."

Joslyn blushed. "I got to be going."

"Oh?"

"Yeah I'm doing a cauterizing of the inhabitants of NeoGaea. Dae says it'll be helpful since there hasn't been an update in years. I also do sketches. See ya."

"Alright then. Should I just leave this in my room?"

"Huh? Oh yeah sure. Just don't drink too much. It maybe herbal, but it can pack a punch."
"Okay."

With that Joslyn left me. What can I do here in NeoGaea? I thought for a while. Dancing? Hmm…maybe. But they probably already have dancing. But maybe not my style. Ooo! Ballroom dancing would be fun to teach. I wonder if Daemon knows how to dance. I giggled, he didn't seem like the type to know how to dance.
Since I really had nothing to do and Chet told me to take it easy for at least a day, I wasn't going to ask Daemon if he wanted to learn dancing. I thought about him dancing and the image was goofy so I started laughing. I left my room to look around. The palace was smooth with marble and in some places trimmed with gold. Each room was a different color of marble. I wonder if Daemon's room is black marble? I bet it is. Oooo! How I wanted to peek into his room and see. Maybe I'll ask Joslyn if she knows. But…I want to know now!  The anticipation was killing me. Maybe just a peek. What's it gonna hurt?
I opened the door a little and was amazed that I was right. There was black marble, but dark purple too and gold trim. And he had a large canopy bed. OMG! A canopy bed! Without a second thought I slipped in. It was a really large room; bigger than Joslyn's and mine. I put my hand on one of the canopy posts; it was wooden, so I guessed it was ebony wood. The canopy curtains were black and slightly see through. The sheets were black silk and the blanket was soft, but I couldn't make out the type of fabric. Gold trimmed the black pillows as well as the canopy. I could just see him lying seductively on his bed with the see through curtains drawn down. Maybe he had no top on or maybe completely naked. The visual was giving me Goosebumps.
I continued to look around there was a black and gold vanity set. Amazing the surface was very neat and tidy. Unlike his appearance; I smiled at that. On the left side of his room was a pile of pillows. Black was the main color and so was gold, but there were other dark colors; blues, reds, greens, purples. I jumped down on the pillows; they were super soft. I think they were stuffed with down feathers. I snuggled against them and closed my eyes daydreaming.
I didn't realize I had fallen asleep on the pillows. Last I remember I was daydreaming about Daemon feeding me fruit while I lay on his pillows. But I did, and when I woke up there he was standing over me with a big smile on his face. I woke startled.

"Have a nice sleep?" He asked me.

"Um…"I blushed. OMG! What's he going to think of me now? I got up and ran past him. "I'm so sorry."

He grabbed my wrist; he was still smiling, "It's all good. Mind if I ask what you were doing in here though?"

"What I'm doing in here?" I smiled uneasy. "Well it started with me looking around the palace and a thought came to mind and I wondered if your room had black marble. Sooo I got really curious and I peeked in and saw that I was more or less right. Then I crept in to look around and I guess when I sat down on your pillows I feel asleep."

"Not surprised that you did, you took in a lot of water earlier. But why didn't you just ask me?"

"I didn't know where to find you. Now can you let me go?"

"Actually I came to get you for dinner."

"Dinner? Is it that late already?"

Daemon nodded and he escorted me to the dining room. Joslyn asked where I was, but I told her I'd explain later. Daemon said nothing. There I got to meet Daemon's two younger brothers, Suko and Carlos. Carlos introduced me to Izi his "pet fairy" as he called her. Dinner was fun Daemon kept freaking out every time Joslyn called him Dae.

"I think it's a cute nickname," I said smiling.

Daemon blushed then cleared his throat. "So get any good drawings done?"

"Naturally," Joslyn smiled. "I'll show you guys after dinner in the library."

"With the candle stick?" I asked. Joslyn laughed knowing I was referring to CLUE.

"No, we'll have more light than that," Daemon replied not knowing anything about the game. Joslyn and I laughed to the all three boys' confusion.

After dinner Joslyn showed us her drawings and Daemon asked if I did any. I said I did, but I liked dancing and story writing better. Then Joslyn had to boast about my dancing prowess.

"That good huh? Maybe you can show me some time," he smiled.

I blushed; he was beautiful when he smiled, "Maybe."

Joslyn and I were in my room for a few hours talking. I told her what happened and where I had been before dinner and she laughed. I then whapped her with a pillow and that started a pillow fight. It was midnight by the time we laid on my bed panting and giggling. She got up and headed to her room to sleep. I curled up under the covers and after a while of thinking about that moment in Daemon's room I finally fell asleep. Thinking how fun this was going to be.
